Weather overview
Lahan experiences a distinct seasonal rhythm, shaped by its subtropical climate. From November to March, the weather remains dry and mild, with cooler mornings and warm afternoons. This period is often considered the most comfortable for travel, as the air stays clear and the temperatures rarely feel oppressive.
The heat builds up from April, peaking in May and June before the monsoon arrives. During these months, Lahan can feel quite warm, especially around midday, but evenings bring some relief. The real shift comes in July, when the rains begin in earnest, transforming the landscape and cooling the air slightly—though humidity rises noticeably.
Temperature
In Lahan, temperatures follow a clear seasonal pattern. The coolest months are January and December, when daytime highs reach around 21–24 °C, while nights can dip to 10.5–12.7 °C. By March, the mercury climbs steadily, with afternoons often exceeding 30 °C.
The hottest period spans April to June, when Lahan sees daytime temperatures between 34–35 °C, occasionally pushing higher. Even at night, the air remains warm, rarely dropping below 21.6–25.5 °C. The monsoon brings a slight reprieve, with temperatures settling into a more moderate 28–33 °C range from July through September.

Precipitation
Lahan has a pronounced dry season, with almost no rainfall from November to April. During these months, the skies stay mostly clear, and the little rain that does fall—such as the 2.3 mm in January or 24 mm in February—has little impact on travel plans.
The monsoon arrives in June, bringing heavy and frequent downpours. July and August are the wettest months, with Lahan receiving 270–393 mm of rain each month. The showers are often intense but short-lived, with breaks of sunshine in between. By September, the rains begin to taper off, though 318 mm still falls, making it one of the wetter months.
The transition out of the monsoon is swift, with October seeing a sharp drop to 126 mm of rain. By November, Lahan returns to its dry season, with just 0.2 mm of precipitation, signaling the start of the most stable weather period of the year.

What to pack
For a trip to Lahan between November and February, pack light layers for the mild days and slightly warmer clothing for the cooler mornings and evenings. A light jacket or shawl can be useful, especially if you plan to be outdoors early or late in the day.
From March to June, the focus should be on staying cool. Lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen will help with the heat, along with a hat and sunglasses for sun protection. A small umbrella or rain jacket is worth bringing even in the pre-monsoon months, as brief showers can occur in May.
During the monsoon season, from June to September, waterproof footwear and a sturdy umbrella are essential. Quick-dry clothing is practical, as humidity can make drying laundry difficult. A light raincoat or poncho will also come in handy for sudden downpours. For the rest of the year, Lahan’s dry conditions mean you can travel light, with just a few warmer layers for the cooler months.
