What to pack

For a winter trip to Эс-Сувайда, pack layers to handle the mild but variable weather. Days in January and February are comfortable with temperatures around +14.5 °C, but evenings can dip to +3.6 °C, so a light jacket or sweater is useful. A compact umbrella or waterproof layer may come in handy during the rare showers.

From April to October, lightweight, breathable clothing is essential for Эс-Сувайда’s dry heat. Loose-fitting fabrics, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses will help shield you from the strong sun, especially in July and August when temperatures peak. Evenings remain warm, so a light shawl or long sleeves are enough for cooler nights. Comfortable walking shoes are a must year-round, as the city’s terrain includes uneven surfaces and gentle slopes.
